Rebecca Miller daughter of Arthur Miller, is an acclaimed, award-winning filmmaker, screenwriter, author, and painter. She has written and directed seven celebrated feature films, including Angela (1995), Personal Velocity (2002), The Ballad of Jack and Rose (2005), The Private Lives of Pippa Lee (2009), Maggie’s Plan (2015), Arthur Miller: Writer (2017), and She Came to Me (2023). Her work has earned Sundance, Independent Spirit, and Gotham Awards and is in MoMA’s permanent collection. She also wrote the screenplay for Proof (2005). A gifted storyteller across mediums, she is the author of Personal Velocity (2001), Total (2022), The Private Lives of Pippa Lee (2009), and Jacob’s Folly (2013).
