Taispeánfar Róise & Frank agus beidh seisiún ceisteanna agus freagraí ina dhiaidh leis an léiritheoir agus eagarthóir Cúan MacConghail agus le Aileen Loughrey sa chathaoir.
Screening of Róise & Frank followed by a Q&A with Producer and Editor Cúán Mac Conghail, moderated by Aileen Loughrey.
Scannán de chuid Rachel Moriarty & Peter Murphy é seo, a insíonn scéal Róise, bean a cailleadh a fear le déanaí agus a chreideann go bhfuil anam a fir chéile Frank anois i gcorp madra seachráin. Bhí Róise scoite amach ón saol ó cailleadh a fear ach ó tháinig an madra an treo, tagann fuinneamh athuair inti. Déanann sí beag is fiú d’aon imní atá ar a mac ná ar éinne eile agus siúd léi amach chun cead a chinn a thabhairt don madra sásamh a bhaint as na rudaí a thaitníonn leis - iománaíocht, stéig, an chathaoir is fearr leis. Sea, b’fhéidir go bhfuil a leithéad de rud ann agus athionchollú, arsa Róise léi féin. Seo scannán mór-chroíach, greannmhar agus spreagúil faoin dóchas a aimsiú i lá an dobhróin.
Directed by Rachel Moriarty & Peter Murphy, the film tells the story of recently widowed Róise played by Bríd Ní Neaachtain, who believes that a stray dog embodies the spirit of her late husband Frank. Isolated since his death two years ago, the appearance of the dog shakes her out of herself. Ignoring her son’s and others’ protests, a rejuvenated Róise goes all out to indulge the dog’s love of hurling, steak, and a favourite chair, while starting to believe in reincarnation. This is a warm-hearted, witty and uplifting tale of finding hope in the darkest of places.
