Exciting workshop announced for May. Foley Artist Workshop facilitated by Caoimhe Doyle & Jean McGrath .. secrets revealed on how to recreate sounds for film.

Foley Artist Caoimhe Doyle, (co-owner of the Foley Lab with Jonny Reynolds) and Foley Mixer Jean McGrath run a dedicated Foley studio located on a quiet country estate in County Wicklow. They have worked together on many projects over the past 17 years, creating Foley sound effects for film, television and video games, producing finely detailed and natural sounds to fit seamlessly into any production track. Credits include: An Cailín Ciúin, Normal People, Game of Thrones, The Favourite, Little Stranger, Conversation’s With Friends, Room and many more.

Having collaborated on a series of Foley workshops they will present a workshop on many movie sound secrets, including breaking bones and screeching tyres.

In 2018, Caoimhe was nominated for a MPSE Golden Reel Award for her work on The Favourite, directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, won a MPSE Golden Reel Award, was nominated for an Emmy for Game of Thrones: Season 1 (2011) and was nominated for a MPSE Golden Reel Award in 2008, for her work on David Cronenberg's Eastern Promises (2007).

Jean McGrath is an award winning mixer with over 20 years as a Foley recording mixer, ADR mixer and Sound Editor. In 2018, she was nominated for a MPSE Golden Reel Award for her work on The Favourite, directed by Yorgos Lanthimos. She was also on the sound crew nominated for an Emmy, IFTA and won a MPSE Golden Reel Award for Game of Thrones: Season 1 (2011).
