Gene Griffin was born in Cork and moved to Schull in 1975. Her career was in teaching where she became involved in schools' drama, designing and costuming several All-Ireland prizewinning productions. She has been doing costume and design for Schull Drama Group and for Playacting Theatre for many years. With Liz, Gene has been responsible for creating the design of the Film Festival for the last 8 years.
