“For short films to be great and be seen by large audiences, is a very difficult task. The film must be structurally sound, touching and poignant, have a stand out story, concept and characters, and all of this in under 18 minutes and boy are we seeing some great shorts this year. Over 130 entries have been received so far from 14 different countries including: Iceland, Australia, Canada, Japan, USA, Denmark, Belgium, Spain, France, Norway, Italy, UK and Ireland. With the increase in our prize fund for May 2018, we expect to break the 300 mark by the end of January.” Said Chair of the Festival, Pauline Cotter.
The festival image for 2018 will be chosen in December, from all of the stills submitted for competition. With over 500 images submitted so far there is still time to enter your film, just follow this link.
