We also have confirmation of the following events:
Thursday 21st May
Lenny Abrahamson in conversation with Pat Shortt
Lenny will interview Pat, covering his extensive career, from comedian, actor and musician to producer, writer and male model! Along with clips of films chosen from his career over the last 20 years. Definitely one that’s not to be missed.
Pat has recently starred in “Life’s a Breeze”, “Moone Boy” and John Martin McDonagh’s film “Calvary”.
Wednesday 20th May
“Life’s a Breeze” screening followed by Q&A with actress Kelly Thornton
“Life’s a Breeze”, will be screened as our opening film on Wednesday 20th May. The film follows a family struggling to stay afloat through recent hard times in Ireland. Unemployed slacker Colm (Pat Shortt), his aging mother, Nan (Fionnula Flanagan) and his niece, Emma (Kelly Thornton), must overcome their differences in a race against time to find a lost fortune.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Kelly Thornton hosted by Director Carmel Winters. Kelly was chosen from an open casting for the leading juvenile role opposite Fionnula Flanagan and Pat Shortt. She was nominated for a Lead Actress Film IFTA Award in 2014 and won the Bingham Ray New Talent Award at the 2013 Galway Film Fleadh. Kelly has appeared in Love Hate and will appear in John Carney’s new feature film Sing Street.
